Rachel Winsten is originally from Queens, New York. She attended the State University of New York, College at Cortland; majoring in physical education and graduating with a Bachelors in Education. From there she attended Hofstra University, in Hempstead NY, where she earned a Masters Degree in Education. Rachel taught health and physical education for 12 years at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens. It was there that she fostered her passion and honed her teaching craft. It is also where she studied under a master teacher in the area of health education, specifically sexual health education. In 2012 she moved from New York to Florida. She currently works for Brevard Public Schools as the district resource teacher for K-12 health, physical education, driver education and JROTC. Rachel has also developed curriculum for Interactive Health Technologies and Pure Pickleball. She currently lives in Viera FL with her husband, two children and new puppy.
